Every Food Eating Establishment must have a minimum of one certified food handler working at all times, as required under Section 10 of the Saskatchewan Public Eating Establishment Regulations.
Safe Food Handling BASICS (Level 1) will cover all aspects of Food Sanitation and results in a national accreditation.
Safe Food Handling ADVANCED (Level 2) is designed for owner/operators, managers, chefs and any employee who wants to take their food safety knowledge to the next level. You do not have to complete BASICS to take this course.
This course will help you learn important information about food safety and how to do your job better. It has been designed to meet all of the recommended requirements of the Canadian Food Retail and Foodservices Code and Regulations. The course fee includes the invigilated exam that you must write after completing the online preparation course.
Students taking the online course will require photo ID and a device with a webcam for the invigilated final exam.
