NFPA 1081 – Advanced Exterior Level
![]() |
An Advanced Exterior Fire Brigade Member is trained to respond to and suppress fires outside of structures when the fire has progressed beyond the incipient stage. These responders operate in potentially hazardous exterior environments and may work near structures, equipment, tanks, vehicles, and industrial processes. Advanced Exterior personnel are equipped and trained to operate in PPE and SCBA, perform tactical hose operations, apply specialized extinguishing agents, and carry out rescue, salvage, and overhaul tasks. All in an exterior environment. At the end of the course, participants are required to complete a written exam (min 70% pass requirement) and practical evaluation. Successful students will receive IFSAC certification issued by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency. *Minimum Enrollment Requirement Please note that each course must meet a minimum number of participants to run. If the minimum isn’t met, the class will unfortunately have to be canceled. Because some courses require travel, we want you to be aware of this possibility in advance. We will notify you as early as possible if a cancellation is necessary.
Prerequisites must be emailed to seri@suncrestcollege.ca after purchasing this course. Once approved, you will be officially registered and granted access to the online portion of the course when registration closes and the minimum class size is met.
