NFPA 1041 Level II builds on the foundations of Level I and prepares experienced firefighters to take the next step into advanced instructional, leadership, and officer-level roles.

Learners will sharpen their ability to develop training programs, evaluate performance, and manage complex learning environments. Through practical scenarios and hands-on activities, students will learn how to create lesson plans, plan multi-unit training operations, mentor new firefighters, and support their department’s administrative and investigative responsibilities.

This course is designed for members who want to lead with confidence - whether in the classroom, on the training ground, or during multi-company operations.

Graduates will be prepared to pursue IFSAC certification and continue on the path toward officer development.

Prerequisites must be emailed to seri@suncrestcollege.ca after purchasing this course. Once approved, you will be officially registered and granted access to the online portion of the course when registration closes and the minimum class size is met.
  • Current member of good standing in a Saskatchewan fire department or other eligible emergency service.
  • NFPA 1041 Level I

This course will be delivered in a blended format, starting with self-paced online study on the user-friendly platform Brightspace and followed by in-person sessions. Delivering some theory and exam preparation online will allow more hands-on training (HOT) time and increased focus on mastery learning.

The dates listed below represent the face-to-face portion of the course. The Self Study online portion will begin when registration closes and the minimum class size is met.
