Rope rescue training progresses through three tiers of competency.

Awareness-level training introduces responders to basic rope rescue concepts, hazard recognition, incident size‑up, and the ability to safely support higher-level rescue operations.

Operations-level training advances these skills by teaching responders to perform limited, low‑angle or simple rope rescue tasks, use rope systems and equipment, and assist in rescues while still operating within established guidelines.

Technician-level training provides the highest degree of proficiency, preparing responders to design, build, and supervise complex rope systems; perform high‑angle rescues; manage technical rescue teams; and solve advanced problems in dynamic, high‑risk environments.

This 2-week package will be offered in a blended format with mandatory online self-study followed by hands-on in person training and evaluation.
